A stakeholder power–interest and social network analysis of potassium-enriched low-sodium salt governance in China

A new stakeholder analysis of potassium-enriched lower-sodium salt (PELSS) in China found uneven alignment between stakeholder power and interest. Many stakeholders actively advancing PELSS lack the authority to drive policy change, while many high-power institutions have limited documented engagement. Drawing on lessons from other countries, the study highlights opportunities to mobilize influential stakeholders, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and better align evidence, policy, and implementation to support wider adoption of PELSS.
