Advancing gender equity in Africa’s digital health transformation

At Resolve to Save Lives, we’ve demonstrated that strong, user-centered digital tools can transform health care delivery and improve health outcomes worldwide. As part of our long-standing partnership with Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), we teamed up with Speak Up Africa to support African Women in Digital Health (AWIDH), an Africa-led collaborative community platform working to advance the representation and leadership of African women in building a healthier future.

AWIDH advocates for women’s involvement in digital health policy, advances digital health care technologies made by women, and invests in the success of African women with an terrific mentorship program empowering women to grow their start-ups, develop leadership and communication skills and foster their growth in the digital health space.

Speaking about the initiative, Anicia Santos, a Senior Solutions Architect at Resolve to Save Lives and part of the team spearheading this effort, said:  “We are proud to have supported the inception, design and launch of African Women in Digital Health to continue to support the advancement of innovation in digital health through gender equity.”
