Tejpalsinh Chavan

Tejpalsinh Anandrao Chavan joins Resolve to Save Lives as Technical Advisor-Global Hypertension Control. Tejpalsinh will provide technical and analytical guidance, programmatic oversight in coordination with core RTSL Hypertension control team to several low- and middle-income countries in Asia and MENA region by establishing and scaling up of high-quality, data-driven hypertension control programs.

Dr Tejpalsinh has more than 10 years of public health experience in program management, implementation, disease surveillance, digital health and health information system at various levels from regional to national level. For the last five years, he has worked as Cardiovascular Health officer (CVHO) with WHO Country office for India supporting the implementation of India Hypertension Control Initiative. With WHO India, he also served as Surveillance Medical officer and supported AFP- Measles surveillance, Routine Immunization and newer vaccine launch in multiple districts of India. His recent work focused on implementation of nationwide digital information system and its continuous improvement, data analysis and capacity building of health staff for hypertension control, supply chain and decentralized care.

Tejpal is a current advanced FETP-NCD trainee and medical graduate (MBBS) with Master of Health Administration from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India.

Tejpalsinh lives in Pune, India with his wife and son. He likes to visit historical places and watch movies.
