Rachel Beardsley

Rachel Beardsley joins Resolve to Save Lives as a Program Associate on the Nutrition Team within Cardiovascular Health. She will provide technical assistance, project management, and research support to promote and implement policies and programs that improve cardiovascular health, namely trans-fat elimination.

Rachel holds a Master’s in Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in public policy both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). She has experience managing research projects and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data at UNC. Her research is in the water, sanitation, and hygiene field (WASH) and primarily focuses on sanitation in developing countries. Most recently, Rachel led teams in developing publications that focus on global safe child feces disposal and frameworks for cities in the global south to develop more participatory water supply and sanitation master plans.

Outside of research, she has experience in web design, content creation, and advocacy.

Rachel is from North Carolina but is currently residing in Atlanta with her fiancé. She enjoys hiking, embroidery, and piano.
