At this year’s UNGA, our president and CEO Dr. Tom Frieden joined Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Mike Bloomberg, Coefficient Giving, and Partnership for a Lead-Free Future to discuss the global burden of lead poisoning and proven solutions to address lead exposure and prevent deaths.
Progress is possible. We’re providing technical guidance for World Health Organization’s forthcoming PREVENT technical package for lead poisoning prevention, which will include best practices for countries to prevent lead exposure and protect communities from unnecessary suffering.
