Lessons from implementing collaborative surveillance

Resolve to Save Lives and the World Health Organization will host a workshop to showcase how countries are putting collaborative surveillance into practice to strengthen early detection, improve decision-making and build resilience. Dr. Chris Lee, Director of Epidemic Intelligence at Resolve to Save Lives, and Dr. Katie Smallwood, Unit Head, Public Health Surveillance, at the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence, will introduce a “working backwards” approach to collaborative surveillance and guide participants through an interactive activity to apply this approach to real-world planning and response scenarios. The session will also feature case studies from Malaysia and Zambia.

We are proud to support the inaugural 7-1-7 Awards, presented by the 7-1-7 Alliance. The ceremony will recognize outstanding individuals whose work is strengthening outbreak detection and response systems around the world.
