In Zambia, around 26,000 health care workers recently completed our free mobile training course on cholera. Through our partners at the Zambia National Public Health Institute (ZNPHI), we deployed this training ahead of the nation’s rainy season, when there’s an increased risk of cholera outbreaks. Those completing the course demonstrated 40% increases in their knowledge of cholera signs and symptoms and how to keep themselves safe, which should translate to better, faster responses during the next rainy season surge.
