Resolve to Save Lives’ award-winning Simple App is fast, free software designed to support and improve large-scale hypertension and diabetes management programs. Simple App was first piloted in Ethiopia in 2021 across 62 health facilities and has since expanded to 271 facilities nationwide. Following a strong endorsement from regional health leaders for the app’s value in supporting clinical care and performance monitoring and approval from the Ministry of Health, Simple App will be expanded to 500 primary health care facilities in a first phase of a full national rollout.

To support this national expansion, RTSL’s Ethiopia team, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health and Clinton Health Access Initiative, conducted a national “Training of Trainers” for non-communicable disease team leads and digital health experts from nine regions and two city administrations.  Attendees were equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to support implementation efforts and ensure a consistent and smooth rollout of the Simple App across Ethiopia, where 14 million people and counting are currently covered by high-quality hypertension care, with support from Resolve to Save Lives.
