April 6, 2023 (NEW YORK, USA)—Resolve to Save Lives (RTSL), a global health organization focused on preventing 100 million deaths from cardiovascular disease and making the world safer from epidemics, today announced the appointment of Ben Silbermann, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Pinterest, to the RTSL Board of Directors.

Effective March 29, Silbermann will serve a three-year term on RTSL’s Board of Directors. Silbermann currently serves as the Executive Chair of Pinterest, a visual discovery engine he co-founded in 2009, and as Advisor to OpenInvest. Silbermann has received numerous leadership awards including being named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business and MIT Technology Review’s 35 Innovators Under 35. He’s also the Co-Founder of Tambourine, a foundation that supports medical research and advancement for diseases such as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
