New Global Nutrition Database for Packaged Foods

Our new Global Nutrition Database for Packaged Foods makes data on sodium, sugar and saturated fat content in packaged foods from around the world available in one central location. The database – which currently hosts packaged food nutrient data for 25 countries allows policymakers, advocates, and nutrition experts to compare average nutrient content for different categories of packaged foods between countries, and monitor country level progress toward national and global targets, including WHO sodium benchmarks. By sharing this information publicly, in an easily accessible format, RTSL aims to create more transparency around levels of sodium, sugar and saturated fat in packaged foods. We welcome submissions of new data as we expand the database!
