Dr. Amit Arun Shah serves as Executive Director, India at Resolve to Save Lives, leading in-country initiatives to enhance cardiovascular health through strategic partnerships with governmental bodies and stakeholders. With extensive experience spanning government health services, private enterprise, international NGOs, academia, UN agencies, and funding organizations, Dr. Shah brings a multifaceted approach to his role. Previously, as Deputy Director of the Health Office at USAID/India, he oversaw strategic health investments across 20+ states, aligning initiatives with national health priorities and spearheading the USG emergency COVID-19 response. Dr. Shah’s dedication to equitable health care is evident in his frontline experience and advocacy efforts.
He holds a Master’s in Health Policy, Planning & Financing from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences, along with medical degrees from Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital, Mumbai, and Government Medical College, Miraj.
