On May 9, 2024, Resolve to Save Lives, the 7-1-7 Alliance and the Georgetown Center for Global Health Science and Security hosted a leadership roundtable in partnership with public health leaders from a wide array of United States federal agencies and national public health associations. Speakers included Drs. Tom Frieden and Anthony Fauci, and the directors of local health departments that have been piloting 7-1-7 since 2022. Participants discussed the path to a national adoption of the 7-1-7 target to improve performance, accountability and transparency in epidemic preparedness and response in the U.S.
