A new study from experts at Resolve to Save Lives, India demonstrates that patient retention and adherence improve significantly when treatment for hypertension is decentralized to community care facilities—especially for women, who face higher barriers to health care access. That’s why we support programs that deliver patient-centered services for hypertension in primary care settings, including extended clinic hours, multi-month prescriptions, and streamlined clinical practices, all of which contribute to better outcomes for women and all people living with hypertension.
