Health care workers play a critical role in improving the diagnosis and treatment of high blood pressure. A new pilot study published in BMC Health Services Research evaluates a self-paced, case-based, mobile-optimized online training for health workers in Nigeria to diagnose and manage high blood pressure. The study found that on-demand mobile training can be an effective tool for building health workforce capacity through both initial and refresher trainings for hypertension and other chronic diseases.
