Mexico’s new best-practice policy will protect 127 million more people from trans fat, bringing the number of people protected from trans fat globally to 3.4 billion.
“We encourage countries in the Americas and around the world without best-practice policies to follow Mexico’s lead and take action to protect people from trans fat and accelerate progress toward a trans fat-free world by the end of 2023,” said Dr. Renu Garg, Senior Vice President of Cardiovascular Health.
