The Prevent Epidemics team has published results from early pilots of the 7-1-7 target for early detection of and response to disease threats in five countries and across 41 outbreaks. The paper, published in Lancet Global Health, argues that 7-1-7 is an ambitious but achievable target, and outlines how the approach can be used to rapidly improve system performance.
