Methods

A cross-sectional survey was conducted to collect data on nutrient content of all packaged food products available for purchase, regardless of the products country of origin. Data were obtained from processed food products registered in the Indonesian FDA trough the Directorate of Processed Food Registration, from 2019 to 2020. The processed food data collected was grouped into seven food categories and specified into 18 subcategories based on the Indonesian FDA Regulation No. 34 of 2019 on Food Categories. Data analysis was carried out descriptively using SPSS 22 software to identify the median, interquartile range, minimum and maximum values of sodium content for each type of food.
