Prevent Epidemics provides technical assistance directly or through partners, mobilizes resources to support preparedness and drives political support to address epidemic preparedness gaps. Programmatic interventions include laboratory strengthening, disease surveillance, legal support, rapid response funding and program management/governance.
In DRC, Prevent Epidemics partners with the Director General of Disease Control to embed an A-Team, a multidisciplinary team working across government offices to help plan and implement a range of activities required to accelerate epidemic preparedness.
